After it's done baking, wait till completely cool. If you used parchment paper, pull blondies out first. Otherwise, just slice in the pan.

Whisk together flour, nutmeg, salt, baking powder, and the other half teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl until well blended.

Core and peel the apple then chop into small pieces about 3/4 to 1 cup. Toss with half a teaspoon of cinnamon and set aside.

In a big bowl, whisk melted butter with brown sugar till smooth and no butter puddles are left.

Mix the egg and vanilla into your butter and sugar until everything’s combined.

Carefully fold cinnamon-coated apple chunks into the batter so they’re spread out evenly.

Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22-25 minutes. It’s done when the top feels set and a toothpick comes out clean or with some moist crumbs.
