Blueberry Basil Drink (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Lemon Basil Blueberry Mix

01 - 500 ml chilled sparkling or plain water
02 - 240 ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
03 - 18 big basil leaves, fresh
04 - 150 g blueberries, fresh
05 - 200 g sugar, granulated
06 - 500 ml water

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Grab some ice, pour your lemonade over it, and dress it up with basil, some whole blueberries, or a few lemon rounds if you want.
02 - Tip the fresh lemon juice, blueberry-basil syrup, and your cold sparkling water into a big pitcher. Give it a good mix so everything comes together.
03 - Push your syrup through a fine sieve set over a bowl or jug. Squeeze out as much juice and color as you can, then toss whatever’s left in the strainer.
04 - Move the pan off the heat. Pop in those basil leaves, stir it up, put on a lid, and just leave it alone for about 20 minutes so the flavors can meld.
05 - Pour water, sugar, and your blueberries into a medium pot and heat it up to a simmer. Let it bubble for five minutes till the berries pop and the sugar’s gone. Gently squish the berries so they let out all the good stuff.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Pop your lemonade covered in the fridge and it'll keep fresh for three days. If you’re prepping in advance, just hold off on the sparkling water until you’re about to drink, so it stays fizzy.
