Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour two round cake pans.

Beat the butter and white sugar in a big bowl until light and airy. Drop in eggs one by one, mixing well each time, then add the vanilla flavor.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Slowly add to your wet mix, going back and forth with milk until smooth.

Carefully stir in your toffee chunks.

Put half the mix in each pan and bake about 25-30 minutes until you can stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean.

Let the cakes sit for 10 minutes, then move to wire racks. Pour warm caramel on top.
