Spoon cheesy ramen into bowls, then pile on green onions and if you want, dust with some red pepper flakes.

Put noodles back in the pot and mix them around until they're nice and coated in sauce.

Drop heat to low, toss in the cheddar a little at a time, and keep stirring until it all melts together.

Sprinkle in pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Give it a thorough stir so the flavors really get in there.

Reuse the saucepan, melt your butter on a medium flame, then add cream cheese and stir till it's all smooth. Pour in the milk slowly, whisking as you go so it blends well.

Fill a medium pan with your broth and bring to a simmer. Toss in ramen and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring now and then, till tender. Drain them and set aside.
