Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan lightly.

Scatter the croissant bits all over the dish. Sprinkle chocolate chips so they’re inside and on top.

In a big bowl, beat together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.

Gently pour the egg mixture on top of the croissants. Press down a bit so the custard soaks in.

Wait about 10 to 15 minutes to let bread soak up all the custard goodness.

Put it in the oven without covering. Cook for 45 to 50 minutes until golden on top and set inside. If it’s browning too fast, cover lightly with foil for the last part.

Let it cool a bit before sprinkling powdered sugar. Serve warm with berries or whipped cream if you like.
