cinnamon apple sticks (Print-Friendly Version)

Crunchy apple strips rolled in cinnamon sugar and panko crumbs, air-fried for a sweet and crisp bite.

# Ingredients List:

→ Fruit

01 - Two big apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp

→ Dry Ingredients

02 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
03 - 120 grams crunchy panko breadcrumbs
04 - 60 grams plain flour
05 - 25 grams white sugar

→ Wet Ingredients

06 - 1 egg, beaten
07 - 30 ml milk

→ Others

08 - Spray oil that won’t stick

# Detailed Cooking Steps:

01 - If you want, peel the apples and slice them into sticks like fries. Dab them dry with a paper towel to get rid of extra wetness.
02 - Put the flour in one bowl. Whisk egg and milk together in another. Mix the breadcrumbs, cinnamon, and sugar in a third bowl.
03 - Roll each apple stick in the flour first. Then dunk it in the egg mix. Finally, press it into the breadcrumb mix to coat well.
04 - Give the coated apple sticks a light spray with the nonstick oil spray. Lay them out in one layer in the air fryer basket. Do them in batches if they don’t all fit.
05 - Cook them in the air fryer at 190°C for about 7 to 9 minutes. Shake the basket halfway so they crisp evenly. Wait until they’re golden and crunchy.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - To boost the taste, try adding a tiny bit of nutmeg or cardamom to the breadcrumb mix.
02 - Eat these right away for the best crunch. Heating them again might make them soggy.
