Filet Mignon Surf (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Steak

01 - 4 filet mignon cuts around 6-8 oz each
02 - Salt and pepper as you like
03 - 2 spoons butter or oil to cook

→ Seafood and Sauce

04 - 1 lb big shrimp, peeled and cleaned
05 - 8 oz lobster meat, cut into small chunks
06 - 1 cup thick cream
07 - 4 spoons butter
08 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
09 - ¼ cup white wine (you can skip this)
10 - 2 spoons chopped fresh parsley

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Season the filet mignons well with salt and pepper. Heat butter or oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Cook steaks about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Take them off and let them sit a bit.
02 - Add more butter to that pan and cook the chopped garlic for roughly 30 seconds until it smells good. Toss in shrimp and lobster and cook until shrimp turn pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Set seafood aside after.
03 - If using, pour white wine into the pan and scrape up bits stuck on the bottom. Pour in the cream and let it cook down until the sauce gets thicker, around 3-4 minutes. Add seafood back to warm it up in the sauce.
04 - Put the filet mignons on plates and ladle the seafood cream sauce on top. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve right away with your favorite sides.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Let steaks sit after cooking so they stay juicy.
