Beef Cheese Bake (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 1 lb ground beef, about 80% lean

→ Soups

02 - One can (10.75 oz) creamy mushroom soup
03 - One can (10.75 oz) cheddar cheese soup

→ Veggies

04 - 30 oz frozen diced potatoes

→ Cheese

05 - 2 cups shredded cheddar, split into halves

→ Spices

06 - Salt as you want
07 - Black pepper to taste

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 pan all over so nothing sticks.
02 - Heat a big skillet over medium heat. Cook the beef, breaking it up until all pink is gone. Drain the fat off.
03 - Put the cooked beef in a big bowl. Add both soups and stir until well mixed.
04 - Mix in the frozen potatoes and half the shredded cheddar. Add salt and pepper and stir everything till coated.
05 - Spread the beef and potato mix evenly in the greased pan. Press it down a bit so it layers nicely.
06 - Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
07 - Cover with foil tightly and bake for 30 minutes.
08 - Remove the foil and bake uncovered another 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
09 - Let it sit for a few minutes after baking so it firms up.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Feel free to swap the beef for ground chicken or turkey.
02 - This doubles easily if you want leftovers or to feed more folks.
03 - Taste and tweak your salt before baking since potatoes can mellow flavors.
