11 - Active dry yeast 2 tablespoons (around 24 g)
12 - Black food coloring or activated charcoal, your choice
13 - Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml)
14 - Granulated sugar 2 tablespoons (close to 25 g)

# Detailed Cooking Steps:

01 - Start by mixing instant bread mix, yeast, warm water, sugar, oil, and salt in a big bowl. Make sure it’s well blended like the box tells you.
02 - Stir in enough red color to get a rich, deep red dough and blend it until it looks even all over.
03 - Cut the red dough into 12 equal pieces. Then spread them out on a cookie sheet with space around each one.
04 - Cover all the dough balls with a wet cloth. Wait until they puff up to twice their size like the bread mix says.
05 - Use a mixer to blend rice flour, yeast, sugar, oil, and salt until smooth and well combined.
06 - In another bowl, mix black color or activated charcoal with enough water to make a shiny, dark liquid.
07 - Slowly stir the black liquid into the dry mix. Keep stirring until it turns into a thick, sticky black paste that you can spread. Adjust dark color if you want.
08 - Cover the black topping and leave it on the counter for 15 minutes to build up flavor and get the right texture.
09 - After the dough has risen, spread the black paste over the sides and tops of each red ball with clean hands.
10 - Leave the topped balls out uncovered for 15 minutes so the topping can stick well.
11 - Put the dough balls in the middle of your oven rack. Bake as the bread mix suggests, about 20 minutes till done.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - Make sure your bread mix is good quality and your yeast is fresh so the dough rises nicely. Change amounts of coloring for how dark you want. Keep an eye while baking so it doesn’t burn.
