Spicy Cucumber Cheese Mix (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3-4 tablespoons herbed cream cheese
02 - 1 tablespoon sour cream or Greek yogurt
03 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ red onion
05 - ¼ teaspoon sea salt, coarse
06 - 2 Persian cucumbers
07 - ⅓ teaspoon smoked paprika
08 - 1 jalapeno
09 - 3-4 tablespoons shredded sharp cheddar
10 - ¼ teaspoon light or regular soy sauce (optional)

→ Garnish

11 - Black and white sesame seeds

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Using a sharp knife or mandoline, cut the cucumbers into thick slices about ½ cm (¼ inch) wide. Don't peel them.
02 - Dice up the jalapeno and red onion. Add the cucumber slices into a mixing bowl or jar, then layer the diced jalapeno and onion on top.
03 - In the bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and sea salt. If you like, add a little soy sauce.
04 - Mix everything really well in the bowl, or if you're using a jar, close it with a lid and shake until the creamy mixture covers everything evenly.
05 - Move the cucumber salad to a serving dish. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Serve it cold.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Let the salad sit in the fridge for around 15-20 minutes so the cucumbers can soak up all the flavors.
02 - Using a bowl instead of a jar helps evenly spread the cream cheese mix.
