Blend softened cream cheese with sour cream in a bowl until smooth.

Mix in most of the green onions, half the cheddar cheese, and about 1/2 cup of crumbled bacon until combined.

Spoon the mixture into a deep baking dish (1-2 quarts) and spread it out evenly. Make sure the dish works for both an oven and microwave, depending on how you’ll cook it.

Scatter the rest of the cheddar cheese across the top.

Microwave: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and heat for 5 minutes. Oven: Bake uncovered at 375°F (190°C) for around 20 minutes.
