Taco Beef Bake (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped (totally optional)
02 - 25 g green onions, sliced up
03 - 65 g black olives, sliced
04 - 200 g cheddar cheese, shredded
05 - 120 g tortilla chips, crushed
06 - 160 g frozen corn
07 - 425 g canned black beans, rinsed and drained
08 - 240 ml salsa
09 - 1 packet (28 g) taco seasoning
10 - 450 g beef, ground

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Let it cool off just a bit, then add chopped cilantro if you want. Enjoy while it's warm.
02 - Pop it in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and you see some bubbles.
03 - Top it evenly with green onions and black olives.
04 - Sprinkle on the rest of your cheddar followed by the leftover tortilla chips.
05 - Cover those chips with your beef mix, then toss half your cheddar over that.
06 - Spread half your crushed chips at the bottom of a 33 x 23 cm baking dish.
07 - Mix the beef combo together with the black beans and corn in a bowl until everything's blended nicely.
08 - Pour in the taco seasoning plus salsa, give it a real good stir, and let it bubble for a couple minutes to thicken a bit.
09 - In a big skillet on medium heat, cook up your ground beef until it's no longer pink. Get rid of any extra grease.
10 - Heat your oven to 175°C and let it get hot all the way through.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Craving more heat? Add a chopped jalapeño or splash in some hot sauce. Want it lighter? Swap in turkey or chicken instead. For a veggie-friendly version, leave out the beef and throw in extra beans or sautéed veggies like zucchini and bell pepper. Craving creamy? Mix in 240 ml sour cream or go for 225 g cream cheese with the beef before baking.
