No-Crust Pizza Bowl (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
02 - 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
03 - 1 cup low-carb marinara sauce (with no added sugar)
04 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
07 - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
08 - Salt and pepper, as needed
09 - 1/2 cup green bell peppers, chopped
10 - 1/2 cup onions, chopped
11 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
12 - 1 pound of ground turkey or beef
13 - Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for topping)

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Start by setting your oven to 400°F (200°C). Get a couple of ramekins or small oven-safe dishes ready.
02 - Warm some olive oil in a big skillet on medium heat. Toss in the onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. Stir them for 4–5 minutes until they soften up, then add garlic for another minute.
03 - Shift the veggies to one side, then toss in the ground turkey or beef. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt over it. Break it into smaller bits and cook until it’s no longer pink. Drain any extra grease if there’s too much.
04 - Pour in the marinara sauce and let everything bubble together for a few minutes to mix the flavors.
05 - Scoop the meat and veggie mix into ramekins. Layer mozzarella on top, then sprinkle some Parmesan and crushed red pepper if you’d like.
06 - Pop the ramekins onto a baking tray. Let them bake for about 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese on top melts and turns golden.
07 - Take them from the oven, allow a bit of cool-down time, then add parsley or basil on top. Serve while it’s nice and warm!

# Helpful Notes:

01 - You can swap out the ground beef for turkey if you want a lighter option.
