Ranch Cheddar Pasta Mix (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 small onion, chopped up
02 - 12 oz rotini or penne pasta
03 - 1 lb diced chicken breast
04 - 1 lb sliced smoked sausage
05 - 4 cups broth (chicken)
06 - 1 cup of cream (heavy variety)
07 - 1 shredded cheddar cheese cup
08 - 1 packet of ranch flavoring powder
09 - Chopped parsley (optional for finishing)
10 - 2 minced garlic cloves
11 - 2 tbsp of olive oil
12 - Salt and black pepper to your taste

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - In a big pot on medium heat, warm up 2 tbsp of olive oil. Put the chicken pieces and sausage slices in and cook them till they turn golden, which should take about 5-7 mins. Toss in the chopped onion and crushed garlic, letting them soften in another 2-3 mins.
02 - Pour in the broth, cream, ranch seasoning, and pasta. Get it bubbling, then drop the heat to low. Cover it up and let it slowly cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring here and there, until the noodles are just right.
03 - Take it off the heat and mix in the cheddar cheese until it’s melted and smooth.
04 - Adjust with salt and pepper if necessary, then serve hot. Sprinkle parsley on top if you’d like a fresh finish.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - It’s filling by itself but goes well with sides for a more complete spread.
