Turn oven on to 350°F or 177°C and let it get ready while you do other stuff.

In a big skillet set to medium heat, cook the ground beef till it’s brown. Break it apart with a spoon. Pour off extra fat. Toss in garlic and Italian seasoning.

Mix in the tomato sauce and sugar. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Let it simmer for 3 to 5 minutes so the flavors blend.

Put cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl. Stir till it's smooth and creamy with no lumps.

Boil wide egg noodles in salty water following the package steps until they’re just right. Drain well so there’s no extra water.

Grease a 9x13 inch dish. Start with half the noodles, spread half the cream mix, then half the meat sauce. Do it one more time. Sprinkle the top with cheddar cheese.

Bake without covering for 20 to 25 minutes till you see bubbles and melted, golden cheese. Let it sit for 5 minutes before digging in.
