Turn on your waffle iron and get it ready as the maker’s guide says.

Whisk flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, and cocoa powder well in a big bowl.

In another bowl, beat eggs first then add milk, oil, and the red velvet flavor or coloring. Stir it all smooth.

Pour the wet mix slowly into the dry and stir gently just till mixed. Don’t overdo it.

Spoon batter onto the heated waffle iron and cook till they’re crispy and nicely browned.
