Put sugar, peaches, and 2 cups of water in a pot. Heat it until it just starts boiling. Turn the heat down and let it cook for 10 minutes until peaches get soft and the sugar melts.

Blend the peach mix with an immersion blender or move it to a normal blender. Keep blending till it’s nice and smooth.

Push the peach blend through a fine strainer into a jug. Use a spoon to press gently to get all the juice out. Toss the solids and let the juice cool down completely.

Add the lemon juice and the leftover 4 cups of water to the cooled peach liquid. Taste it and add more sugar or lemon juice if you want it sweeter or tangier.

Serve over ice and throw on peach slices, lemon wheels, or fresh mint if you like.
