Put sliced strawberries, sugar, and water in a small pot on medium heat. Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring now and then, until the berries break down.

Take the pot off the stove and push the mix through a fine strainer into a bowl. Toss the solids and let the syrup cool down.

Boil the water in a small pot. Pull it off the heat, drop in the tea bags, and let them sit for 5 minutes. Then throw out the bags.

Mix sugar into the hot tea until it disappears completely.

In a big pitcher, dump in the cooled strawberry syrup, sweetened tea, cold water, and lemon juice. Give it a gentle stir.

Fill cups with ice, pour the chilled tea over, then add some fresh mint and strawberry slices on top.
