Start by peeling the rutabaga. Then slice it into thin sticks like fries.

Mix the rutabaga sticks with olive oil, pepper, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and herbs if you want. Toss everything so all pieces get some flavor.

Place the rutabaga sticks flat on your baking tray. Make sure they’re not piling on top of each other to get crispy.

Pop them into an oven set at 200°C. After about 15 minutes, flip them over. Keep baking for another 10 to 15 until they’re golden and crunchy.

Give the fries a little time to cool down. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
