Sausage Sweet Potato Honey Garlic (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound of chicken or Italian sausage
02 - 2 big sweet potatoes, peeled then chopped into cubes
03 - 1/4 cup honey
04 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
05 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
07 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
08 - Salt—just enough for your taste
09 - A bit of black pepper
10 - Fresh parsley (chopped) for topping

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Sprinkle chopped parsley on top right before you eat.
02 - Dump in your honey garlic sauce, mix it all up, cover the skillet, and let it cook on low-medium until the sweet potatoes get soft (should take about 10 minutes).
03 - Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce or tamari, paprika, salt, and some pepper in a small bowl. Just whisk them together until smooth.
04 - Toss your sweet potato cubes into the same pan. Stir it all up. Let that cook another 5 minutes.
05 - Pour olive oil into a big skillet on medium heat. Pop in the sausage pieces and cook them around until they're golden, about 5 or 7 minutes.
06 - Peel your sweet potatoes. Cut them up into cubes that are more or less the same size.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Toss leftovers in a tight container in the fridge for three days or freeze for a couple of months.
02 - Switch things up—try swapping in turkey sausage or use butternut squash if you want.
