08 - Pour in a full cup of BBQ sauce—pick smoky or something sweet like honey BBQ
09 - 2 tbsp honey gives it a hit of sweetness

→ Meat

10 - Slice up 12 ounces of spicy sausage, Andouille or Italian both work

→ Pasta

11 - 12 ounces rotini spirals

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Sprinkle loads of chopped parsley on top, then dig in while it’s still steaming.
02 - Toss the drained pasta and sausage in the skillet. Make sure everything gets drenched in that tasty sauce.
03 - Toss in honey, BBQ sauce, paprika, chili (or cayenne), salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir and let it bubble over medium heat for a few minutes, just till it thickens a little.
04 - If you need to, splash in more olive oil. Toss in the chopped garlic and stir around for about a minute, just until it smells awesome.
05 - Pour olive oil in your big skillet, crank up the heat to medium-high. Brown those sausage slices for 5-7 minutes, turning here and there, till they’re crispy on the edges. Take them out and leave them aside for now.
06 - Fill a big pot with salty water. When it’s boiling, drop in the rotini and cook till they’ve got a little bite. Drain off the water and put the pasta to the side.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Make it more or less spicy by changing how much chili or cayenne you use.
02 - Swap in gluten-free spirals if you need to skip wheat.
