Berry Lemonade Cool (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 1/2 cups thawed triple berry frozen blend or 2 cups fresh mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
02 - 1 cup tangy lemon juice, freshly squeezed
03 - 1 tablespoon bright lemon zest, finely grated
04 - 1 cup regular sugar
05 - 4 cups water, split up

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Move your finished lemonade into a big pitcher. Let it cool off in the fridge until nice and cold. Pour over ice cubes when ready.
02 - Toss in the strained berries, any saved berry juice, the remaining lemon mix, and extra water. Give it a good stir right in the pot.
03 - Push your berry puree through a fine mesh strainer to catch any seeds. Throw away those leftover bits.
04 - Blend your berries with 1 cup of the cooled lemon syrup. Keep blending until it looks totally smooth.
05 - Mix the zest and lemon juice into the syrup while it's still hot. Wait for the whole thing to cool off.
06 - Heat up 2 cups of water with the sugar in a big pot. Stir every once in a while. Once it boils, keep it going for 2 minutes before taking it off the heat.
07 - If your berries are frozen, let them thaw in a strainer set over a bowl. Don't toss the juices—they're important.

# Helpful Notes:

01 - Want a crystal-clear look? Make sure to strain the berry mix completely before you mix everything together.
